The year was 2001, I made a life changing decision to leave the corporate world to follow my passion and heart and create jewelry.  I started my journey to becoming a jewelry artist in 1998 making beaded jewelry as a hobby.   The hobby grew into a passion and it seemed a natural progression that I pursue working in metal. I began taking adult education classes in making jewelry at Pratt Fine Art Center in Seattle and North Seattle Community College.  I have learned a great deal from reading, observing other jewelry artists and developing my own techniques.

For over 20 years I had been a needlework artist, making large tapestries in needlepoint.  I enjoyed designing the canvas, creating texture using various threads and stitches that gave depth and dimension to my work. My jewelry designs are greatly influenced by textile patterns and textures.

I work primarily in sterling silver, incorporating gold and semi-precious stones.  My jewelry is hand fabricated one of kind wearable art.  I am drawn to working with stones that are domed, elongated, that entice you to touch them and feel their energy.

My designs are bold in structure and size, with a strong architectural influence.

In discovering new and different ways to approach design elements that add interest and balance, my work has evolved and grown.
